Under the Shadow: Film Screening

Sat 6 June, 5.30pm
Running Time: 90 minutes

Under the Shadow is a genre busting Iranian feminist horror film set in Tehran in 1988, at the height of the Iran-Iraq.

Eerie and truly unsettling it follows Shideh (Narges Rashidi) and her family live amid the chaos of the war as her husband is drafted leaving her alone to protect their young daughter. Shideh finds herself slowly drawn into the ensuing turmoil, malevolent spirits and struggles to cling onto what is real and what is not eventually having no choice but to confront these forces if she is to save her daughter and herself.

84 minutes, Cert 15. Tickets £6 / £4
