Mozart's Sister (film screening)

Mon 29 January, 5pm
Running Time: 2 hours

Director Rene Feret, 2010, 120 Minutes, Cert 12.

Mozart’s Sister provides an alternative history to Amadeus by following the story of Mozart's sister, Maria Anna 'Nannerl' Mozart, who was five years older than him and a musical prodigy in her own right. She gave way to Wolfgang as the main attraction and later was forbidden to play the violin or compose.

A beautiful film which tells a heart-breaking story alongside charting evolution of feminism.

Programmed to coincide with the NT production of Amadeus.
