Adrian Sutton's Music at the NT

Wed 21 November, 6pm
Running Time: 1 hour

Composer Adrian Sutton talks to Louise Fryer to discuss his approach to writing music for theatre, including NT productions Angels in America, War Horse, Coram Boy and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Adrian's work as a composer includes a diverse range of projects. The best-known are his scores for the War Horse, Coram Boy and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, all of which have gained him Olivier nominations and in the case of the latter, a joint Olivier Award for Sound Design in 2013. Away from theatre and the studio, his output includes orchestral and chamber works, among them War Horse: The Story in Concert premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in 2016 and recorded for album release with the RPO at Abbey Road Studios in 2017, A Fist Full of Fives (BBC Symphony Orchestra, Radio 3), and Arpeggiare Variations (Fenella Humphreys' Bach2TheFuture project). Many years of TV and film work include music and sound design for Chris Morris' Jam, Blue Jam and the BAFTA-winning short film My Wrongs.
