Actors Siân Brooke, Alex Hassell and Joshua McGuire on I’m Not Running

The actors reflect on the challenges and rewards of performing the roles of Pauline, Jack and Sandy in the current National Theatre production of I’m Not Running, chaired by Matt Wolf.

Siân Brooke’s work in theatre includes Dido, Queen of Carthage (National Theatre), Hamlet (Barbican), Tartuffe (Birmingham Repertory Theatre), Ecstasy (RSC), My City and Reasons to be Pretty (Almeida) and Wanderlust, Dying City, Harvest, The One with the Oven and Just a Bloke (Royal Court). TV includes Dr Foster, The Terror, All About George, Cape Wrath and Sherlock.

Alex Hassell’s theatre credits include Henry IV Parts 1 and 2, Henry V (RSC), Pigs and Dogs (Royal Court) and Death of a Salesman (RSC and West End). Recent TV includes The Miniaturist for BBC, Genius for National Geographic, and The Boys (Amazon). Recent film includes Red Sea Diving Resort (soon to be released), and Suburbicon by the Coen Brothers (directed by George Clooney). He is the co-founding Artistic Director of The Factory.

Joshua McGuire’s work in theatre includes The Magistrate (National Theatre), Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Future Conditional (Old Vic), The Ruling Class (Trafalgar Studios), Amadeus (Chichester Festival Theatre), Privacy (Donmar), Posh (West End) and Hamlet (Shakespeare’s Globe). TV includes Lovesick and The Hour, and film includes Artemis Fowl
