Nabil Shaban

Nabil Shaban was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the University of Surrey for services in the promotion of Disability Arts in 1997. He created with SHAPE London, FAIRPLAY, the Campaign for Equal Opportunities in the Performing Arts for Disabled People in 1982 and founded the Graeae Theatre Company with Richard Tomlinson in 1980, where his work includes Sideshow and Flesh Fly.
