The National aims to make theatre as accessible as possible to as wide an audience as possible, with a range of cheap ticket prices, discounts and concessions, some available before the day of performance, others available only on the day and some of these only when all other tickets have been sold.
Cheap theatre tickets available BEFORE the day of performance
Travelex £12 Tickets
The National Theatre's partnership with Travelex means that almost half the seats for a range of new shows each year are £12. Details of the shows can be found on the Travelex £12 Tickets page
Regular cheap tickets
At the National Theatre (Olivier and Lyttelton Theatres and The Shed)
Tickets priced at £12 are available for most performances at the National Theatre. In the Olivier and Lyttelton Theatres these are limited per customer and are in high demand. Standard £12 tickets may offer a partially restricted view of the stage. For performances in The Shed (link opens in new tab/window), all tickets are £12 and £20.
In the West End
War Horse plays at the New London Theatre, One Man, Two Guvnors is at Theatre Royal Haymarket and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time is at the Apollo Theatre. There are no per customer limits on these tickets, and they go on general public sale each time extra dates are published - they are popular and can sell out quickly. £15 tickets for these shows have a restricted view.
Under 18s discounts
Tickets are half-price for Monday to Friday evenings and all matinees at the National, excluding Travelex productions and tickets under £24.
For Emil and the Detectives, half-price tickets are available for all performances (excluding tickets under £24)
