Dan Rebellato leads this exploration of Katie Mitchell’s work at the National Theatre.

Mitchell’s work at the NT includes Cleansed, Hansel & Gretel, Beauty and the Beast, A Woman Killed with Kindness, The Cat in the Hat, Pains of Youth, …Some Trace of Her, Attempts on her Life, Waves, A Dream Play, Women of Troy, Iphigenia at Aulis, The Seagull, Three Sisters, Ivanov, The Oresteia, The Machine Wreckers and Rutherford and Son.

Recent work elsewhere includes Sleeping Men and 4:48 Psychosis at Deutsches Schauspielhaus, Hamburg; La Maladie de la Mort at Bouffes du Nord, Paris; Anatomy of a Suicide at the Royal Court; The Maids at Toneelgroep, Amsterdam; and Shadows (Eurydice Speaks) at Schaubühne, Berlin.

Dan Rebellato is a playwright and Professor of Contemporary Theatre at Royal Holloway University. His plays include Chekhov in Hell, Static, Mile End, Beachy Head and Emily Rising. Books include 1956 and All That, Contemporary European Theatre Directors, and Decades of British Playwriting: 2000–2009.
