Drama

These exercises are for schools studying The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, or investigating a devising or rehearsal process more generally. Some exercises come directly from the rehearsal room, while others give a sense of how the Company approached the play.

The areas of investigation are:

  • Building the ensemble
  • Creating a world on stage that serves the intentions of the writer and helps the audience to understand how Christopher sees and interprets the world
  • Analysing our own and others’ work

Videos from the original production, created by the BBC, can be viewed here, with further content below.
