National Theatre Ladder of Membership

There are a variety of levels at which you can support your National Theatre as an individual, detailed below. To find out about Advance Membership (£15 per year), go to Advance Membership.

  • Priority Membership

    Through their donations from £65 Priority Members make a huge difference to the work that goes on at the National Theatre.

  • Priority Plus

    Priority Plus is a new membership level offering supporters the opportunity to increase their philanthropic relationship with the National Theatre by making a gift between £150 - £499 per year.

  • Supporting Cast

    Giving between £500 - £1,249 each year our Supporting Cast provide us with key funds that allow the National Theatre do things that otherwise wouldn't be possible.

  • Patron

    Patrons kindly donate between £1,250 - £2,499 to the National each year and in return receive a personalised service through the NT Development office.

  • Premier Patron

    Our newest membership level has recently been unveiled at £2,500 - £4,999 offering Premier Patrons new and exciting opportunities.

  • Benefactor

    In return for an annual donation between £5,000 - £9,999 our Benefactors have a close and exciting relationship with the National Theatre.

  • Olivier Circle

    With a visionary approach to the National Theatre's future, Olivier Circle donors recognise that the National Theatre seeks to constantly broaden its work and donate £10,000+ per year to the NT.

  • Young Patrons of the National Theatre

    The NT's Young Patrons group is a social network for young people who love and support the National Theatre. This group for professionals aged between 21 and 45 offers an opportunity to enhance the theatre-going experience through a series of events and special privileges.

    National Theatre membership is the perfect gift for theatre-lovers this Christmas. 

    All levels of National Theatre membership, from Priority Membership, can be purchased as a gift and makes a thoughtful and creative present for any special occasion. From priority booking to invitations to unique events throughout the year, National Theatre membership is a gift that will inspire, challenge and entertain all year.

  • American Associates of the National Theatre

    The AANT is a New York-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the work of the National Theatre in the United Kingdom and in the United States. Contributions to the AANT are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

    The AANT's Federal tax number is 13-414-0412.

    Since 2005, the AANT has granted more than $5 million to the National Theatre, providing essential funding to support its mission to develop world-class productions with affordable ticket prices, while reaching out to artists and audiences of the future through extensive education programmes.

    AANT holds events throughout the year for supporters in the US, as well as offering allocations of tickets for National Theatre Live screenings and US production transfers.

    The National Theatre's diverse repertoire aims not only to represent the widest range of voices, but to appeal to the widest possible audience. Increasingly, the NT's work is reaching farther, and a truly global audience is engaging with the National Theatre. The NT's unique relationship with America and American theatre in particular continues to flourish.
