Composer Benji Bower and director Sally Cookson discuss how music is used to support and tell the story in this dynamic, devised production of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre.

One in a series of five films which use interviews and production clips to explore the production.

Learning outcomes

This education resource will support students to understand how music is used in this production and how they can use it effectively in their own theatre-making.

It supports the study of devised theatre and music in GCSE Drama and A Level Drama and Theatre.

It also offers a new perspective for students studying the original novel for GCSE and A Level English Literature.
