Enhanced Security at the National Theatre

NT entrance Feb 2015

Your security is of the utmost importance to us. To make sure your visit is as safe as possible, enhanced security measures are currently in place.

Some doors are exit only, so we recommend you use the main entrance on the riverside walkway (pictured above), as your entry point into the building.

We strongly request that you do not bring large bags to the theatre. Any bags larger than 30cm x 30cm x 15cm must be left in the cloakrooms and may be subject to security searches; please note that this is a reduction in the size previously permitted. The cloakrooms are free of charge and situated throughout the building; members of staff will be happy to direct you to them. Anyone who declines a security search will not be admitted.

If you're coming to see a show, please be aware that it may take longer than usual to get into the building. Please arrive early, especially if you are also collecting tickets for a performance.

Our security measures are under constant review, and may need to change at short notice. Please check this page on the day of your visit for up-to-date information.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation. If you have any queries, please contact the Box Office on 020 7452 3000.
