Workshop: directing a new play

Tuesday 6 September, 10.30am-1.30pm, Cottesloe Room (next to Dorfman Theatre), £25

Book your tickets here.

Director Ian Rickson (All Of Us) will lead a practical workshop about directing a new play. We will explore ways of empowering actors and serving the playwright’s needs, as well as examining ways of managing self-care as a director. There will be a comfort break from 12-12.15pm.

We strongly encourage you to watch All Of Us before attending the workshop, as it will be referred to.

This workshop is aimed at emerging directors, with a maximum capacity of 12 people. We want to create a brave and welcoming space; speech to text relay and BSL interpretation will be provided. There will be a quiet and private breakout space for participants to use as required. You will be sent a visual story on Tue 30 August, to the email you registered with, which shows you the route into the building and the spaces you'll be in. Please email [email protected] to let us know what access provision you require to make your experience the best possible. Booking will close on Tuesday 30 Aug at 4pm.
