National Theatre: On Demand. In Schools

National Theatre: On Demand. In Schools

Teachers at schools in the UK can now stream recordings of National Theatre productions directly to their classrooms, for free.

You can now show your students recordings of smash-hit National Theatre productions including Frankenstein, Othello, She Stoops to Conquer, Treasure Island, Hamlet and The Comedy of Errors, with more productions to be added in the future.

Visit the On Demand In Schools website for more information and to sign up for a free account. (Please note that this service is only available to teachers at UK schools).

The plays are curriculum-linked and supported by specially-designed teaching resources, created in collaboration with teachers and leading artists.

Each production has been recorded in high definition in front of a live theatre audience, and is available to watch whenever you like, as much as you like, for free. The productions can be navigated easily – so you can jump straight to the scene you need.

The service is free to use and available on demand. No special software is required – just a computer with a broadband connection.

This service is available exclusively to teachers at schools within the UK.

National Theatre: On Demand. In Schools is supported by Stavros Niarchos Foundation, the Sidney E. Frank Foundation, Fondation Hoffmann and Tom & Sara Attwood. Titles and resources for primary schools supported by The Goldsmiths' Company Charity.
