Plays include: When the Crows Visit at Kiln; The Snow Queen on tour in India and the UK for the Unicorn and Trestle; Disconnect at the Royal Court and internationally; Free Outgoing at the Royal Court in London, Traverse in Edinburgh, for Creashakti in India and internationally; Acid for Madras Players in Chennai and QTP/RAGE in Mumbai; and Closer Apart for Theatre Nisha, Chennai.

Short plays include: Whiteout and Kabaddi-Kabaddi both for the Royal Court.

Screenplays include: Kitchen Tales and Free Outgoing.

Awards

Anupama Chandrasekhar was awarded the Charles Wallace India Trust Writing Fellowship at the University of Chichester, was a runner up for the Evening Standard Most Promising Playwright award and a finalist for the John Whiting and Susan Smith Blackburn Awards. Her screenplay adaptation of her play Free Outgoing was a finalist for the Sundance International Screenwriters’ Lab, Utah. She attended the Royal Court International Residency for Young Playwrights and was the Asia winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. The Father and the Assassin was shortlisted for the Evening Standard Theatre Award for best play and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
