The National Theatre’s Members’ Room, located on Level 3 of the theatre, on the east side of the Olivier Circle foyer.

With a backdrop of extraordinary views across the capital, the Ashcroft Room offers National Theatre donors at Supporting Cast level and above, a private place for drinks before and during performances.

Opening hours

The Ashcroft Room is open Monday to Saturday, from 5.30pm until the end of the last interval, when performances are taking place in the Lyttelton and/or Olivier theatres.

The Ashcroft Room is closed on Sundays and matinees.

From time to time, it may be necessary to close the Ashcroft Room. Any closures will be listed below.

Visiting the Ashcroft Room

Reserve your table and food in the Ashcroft Room at least one day prior to your visit. Please give your name to the host on arrival and we will ensure you are looked after.

We are now serving a selection of delicious menu items for pre-order. Each platter is £9.95. Please use the ‘Make a booking’ link under Opening hours, choose the time of your visit and make your selection.

  • Smoked Salmon
    Scottish smoked salmon, caperberries, dill creme fraiche, pickled cucumber, sourdough
  • Charcuterie
    Prosciutto crudo, Suffolk salami, Suffolk chorizo, tomato pesto, balsamic onions, Nocellara olives, rocket leaf, spaccatini breadsticks
  • Cheese
    Cornish yarg, Oxford blue, Bath soft & Rosary goats’ cheese, celery, grapes, quince jelly, artisan crispbreads
  • Mezze
    Sweet potato falafel, grilled marinated vegetables, artichokes, smoked tomatoes, ezme coconut yoghurt, Khobez
  • Ploughman’s
    Marmalade glazed ham, Organic Godminster cheddar, celery, mixed leaf, cornichons, cider apple chutney, chunk of bread, Netherend butter
