The decision to use a sperm or egg donor to conceive a child can be huge and complex. What does it mean for a child to grow up with an unknown parent? What role should the donor have in the child’s life? Should they even be called a parent at all? This discussion will look at two different personal perspectives – the first from award-winning theatre director, Sarah Esdaile, who will be arguing that ‘mother is a verb’ (not about genetics) and the second from ‘human book’ Dimple Devadas who will be talking about her incredible donor conceived rainbow family. Chaired by Jessica Hepburn (author and Director of Fertility Fest).
