Twelfth Night on Film

Friday 21 April, 6pm

Friday 21 April, 6pm, Cottesloe Room, £6/5

A fascinating look the various films which have been made and inspired by Shakespeare's festive comedy Twelfth Night with author Daniel Rosenthal. With extracts and archive material the session will explore the styles, settings and actors involved. From the 1970s TV version with Joan Plowright playing both twins, through Trevor Nunn’s (ex NT director) 1996 version and including director Tim Supple’s 2003 film with Chiwetel Ejiofor as Orsino and with characters Viola and Sebastian arriving in Ilyria by boat as refugees
