Ralph Fiennes and Sophie Okonedo reflect on the challenges and rewards of performing the roles of Antony and Cleopatra in the current National Theatre production.

Ralph Fiennes was in Man and Superman, Oedipus, The Talking Cure, Six Characters in Search of an Author, Fathers and Sons and Ting Tang Mine at the NT. Other theatre includes Richard III (Almeida), The Master Builder (Old Vic) and Hamlet (Belasco, NY). Film includes Harry Potter, Skyfall, Spectre, Hail Caesar, Schindler’s List and Coriolanus which Fiennes also directed.

Sophie Okonedo was in Troilus and Cressida and Money at the NT. Other theatre includes The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? (Theatre Royal Haymarket), The Crucible (Walter Kerr Theatre, NY) and A Raisin in the Sun (Ethel Barrymore Theatre, NY). TV includes Undercover and The Hollow Crown; film includes Mrs Mandela, Skin, The Secret Life of Bees, Hotel Rwanda and Dirty Pretty Things.
