Jess Phillips: One Woman’s Truth About Speaking the Truth

Fri 11 January, 7.30pm
Running Time: 1 hour

Jess Phillips discusses how she uses her platform as MP for Birmingham Yardley to shout about the things she cares about. Speaking the truth hasn’t always been easy – Phillips has been called a feminazi witch, a murderer and she has been threatened with rape. But she believes it’s worth it and that by daring to believe that we can make a difference, we can.

On Friday 11 January we hear from two MPs; Nick de Bois and Jess Phillips, who will both reflect on their personal experiences of being a member of parliament. You might also be interested in hearing Nick de Bois: Confessions of a Recovering MP, 6 – 7pm on Friday 11 January.
