Claire Finburgh Delijani gives a concise introduction to epic theatre, from Bertolt Brecht’s ideas and his rejection of tragedy, to approaches to the epic and tragic, illustrated in absurdist theatre.
Clare Finburgh Delijani is a teacher and researcher in the Department of Theatre and Performance at Goldsmiths University of London. She has published many books and articles on French and Francophone theatre, asking how theatre addresses stage social, global and climate justice, multiculturalism and community.
