Beautiful black and white cinematography, intelligent and invigorating film written,directed and starring George Clooney. Good Night and Good Luck follows the true-life story of CBS reporter Edward R Murrow and his producer Fred W Friendly as they decide to take a stand and challenge McCarthy. Focusing on the power of the press and media in the 1950’s, Murrow and Friendly’s actions help bring an end to the tyranny of the blacklist, the House Un-American Activities Committee and ultimately bring down one of the most controversial senators in American history.
