Exploring Antony and Cleopatra at the NT

An in-depth exploration of Antony & Cleopatra 

This talk will focus on the making of the current NT production, and give some background a context to the show. The day will be led by either Abigail Rokison-Woodall (10am session) or Kiernan Ryan (11.30am session) who will give an opening talk on contexts and interpretations of Antony & Cleopatra. Other contributions include Diane Purkiss on gypsies and soothsayers, see archive material from past productions, a talk from stage manager Andrew Speed including a trip to the Olivier stage, and a rehearsal demonstration with Associate Director Emily Burns and members of the acting company. Other sessions throughout the day to be confirmed shortly. 

Please note: there are two identical talks running on the same day. Either choose to come from 10am –3.30pm (Cottesloe Room) or the same content will be repeated in the talk from 11.30am – 5pm (Duffield Studio). There will be an hour's break for lunch (lunch not included).

Tickets £55 (senior citizens £40, students/under 18s £15)

Antony and Cleopatra is playing in the Olivier Theatre until 19 January. For performances where tickets are sold out, additional tickets will be available via Friday Rush and Day Tickets.

The production will also be broadcast by National Theatre Live on Thursday 6 December. Find your nearest cinema.
