Anthony Neilson is a playwright and director known for his collaborative way of writing and work-shopping plays, which are characterised by their formal playfulness and often dark subject matters.
Writing/directing credits include The Prudes, Unreachable, The Wonderful World of Dissocia, The Censor and Penetrator (Royal Court), Stitching (The Red Room/Bush), Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Lyceum Edinburgh), and The Haunting of Hill House (Liverpool Playhouse – as writer only). As director only credits include Marat/Sade, The Drunks (RSC), The Death of Klinghoffer (Edinburgh International Festival).
