Creating and Performing Peter Gynt: David Hare, Jonathan Kent and James McArdle

Playwright David Hare, director Jonathan Kent and actor James McArdle talk about their new production, Peter Gynt, over the course of an evening, hosted by Georgina Godwin.

In the first half of the evening, James McArdle (Platonov, Angels in America) will reflect on the challenges and rewards of creating and playing the role of Peter Gynt. After an interval, David Hare and Jonathan Kent (the partnership behind Young Chekhov) will speak about the process of making their new production.

This talk will have live subtitling by Stagetext for deaf, deafened and hard-of-hearing people. Smart caption glasses are also available to book.

Tickets £12 (concessions £7)

After the event, David Hare will be signing copies of Peter Gynt and other work outside the NT Bookshop. When you buy your copy from the National Theatre Bookshop, you support the work of the NT.
