Toby Olié

Toby Olié is a director, designer and puppeteer who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Daram. He is founding and co-artistic director of Gyre & Gimble, a theatre company specialising in puppetry.

For the National: The Elephantom (co-director/puppet designer), The Light Princess (puppet designer), Hansel and Gretel (puppet designer), War Horse (associate puppetry director, West End). He was the hind of Joey in the original production of War Horse, and played the heads of both Joey and Topthorn in the West End transfer.

For the RSC: Don Quixote
