Sepy Baghaei trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art.

Sepy Baghaei is Associate Director at The Space Theatre and Co-Vice Chair of MENA Arts UK.

Work as a director includes: Habibti Driver (upcoming) at the Octagon; Give Me the Sun (upcoming) at the Blue Elephant; Little Women, Mycorrhiza, CITIZEN and Wilde Tales at The Space; Re: Memory for Suitcase Civilians on UK and Australia tour; Body Language for Brave New Word; Grimm Tales at City of Sydney Library/Sydney Fringe; and Something to Be Done for Short+Sweet Sydney.

As assistant director: Once Upon a Time in Nazi Occupied Tunisia at the Almeida; Welcome to Iran for Theatre Royal Stratford East; Reasons to Stay Alive for Sheffield Theatres and English Touring Theatre; Othello for English Touring Theatre; and As You Like It at Regent’s Park.

Sepy Baghaei has also directed workshops and readings of numerous new plays, including work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, English Touring Theatre and Tamasha.
