Low price Tickets (20) are available for most performances, including for our West End productions. These are in high demand and may be limited to two per customer. They may offer a restricted view of the stage. Reduced prices are also available for the first performances (Previews) for many of our shows. Details and dates can be found on the individual show pages. £20 Day Tickets and £10 Friday Rush tickets are available for some productions.

Reduced price tickets are available in advance on certain performances for Under 18s, Over 60s and Disabled people. If you are unsure how to book these concessions online, please see our guide to Selecting Concession Seats

Under 18s:

  • For Olivier, Lyttelton and Dorfman productions, half-price tickets are available for Monday - Friday evenings and all matinees (and all performances of Dick Whittington). The half-price discount excludes any tickets under £30.


Over 60s save on midweek matinees:

  • For Olivier and Lyttelton productions, £66, £57 and £56 tickets are reduced by £20.
  • For Dorfman productions, £30 tickets are available.


Disabled People:

Available for Access List customers. To join for free, please see the Accessibility section of our website.

  • For productions at the National Theatre, £20 ticket + one companion ticket at the same price.


To access American Express preferred seating allocations, you should enter the first 4 digits of your card number into the 'American Express Invites' box on the left hand side of the performance list page.

Once you have done this, you will be able to view, select and buy AMEX seats on the 'select your own seats' option (AMEX seats are coloured blue on the seating plan and labelled 'AMEX reserved seats') or buy AMEX seats via the 'best available' option.

If you are member of the National Theatre and experiencing issues booking online please try the following tips before contacting the box office:

  1. Different levels of membership offer different booking dates. You can see the booking dates for each upcoming season on this membership page once they have been confirmed.

    Ensure that you are logged in. If you are not logged in the website will not recognise your membership status and will not offer you all the dates and performances that should be available to you. To check if you are logged in please look at the top of the current website page you are on. If you are not logged in the band at the top of this page will say “Login”.

  2. If you have logged in and you are still unable to book for new season performances please press “F5” on your keyboard. This will refresh your page and should show the most up to date information.

  3. Deleting cookies stored in your computer may help the overall performance of the website and ensure you are not seeing old content. There is no one standardized way to remove cookies since different browsers clear cookies using different procedures, but this can be done in the settings of your browser, and we provide some help on our Removing National Theatre cookies page.

  4. It may be helpful to try booking on a different device or browser i.e. Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer.
