Entry Pass Terms and Conditions

1. In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the meanings set out below:
Entry Pass” means the National Theatre’s free membership scheme open to UK residents aged between 16 and 25 which gives members access to Entry Pass Events, Tickets and a 10% discount for the National Theatre bookshop, cafes, backstage tours and costumes and props hire.
Entry Pass Event” means any event offered for sale and/or organised by the National Theatre learning department including, but not limited to, workshops and courses and which may or may not be ticketed.
Entry Pass Ticket” means a ticket for any National Theatre Production or Entry Pass Event offered for sale by the National Theatre at the reduced price of £5 per ticket.
Mates Rates Ticket” means a ticket for any National Theatre Production offered for sale by the National Theatre at the reduced price of £7.50.
National Theatre” means The Royal National Theatre, Upper Ground, London SE1 9PX whose registered and principal trading address is Upper Ground, London SE1 9PX. Registered in England company number 749504. Registered charity number 224223. VAT registration number GB 548 1804 33.   
National Theatre Production” means any live, staged performance of a theatrical or operatic nature in any one of the National Theatre's auditoria.
Ticket” means Entry Pass Tickets and Mates Rates Tickets.

2. Tickets are only available for purchase by Entry Pass members.

3. All Mates Rates Tickets must be purchased in conjunction with an Entry Pass Ticket for the same National Theatre Production. Bearers of Mates Rates Tickets will only be permitted entry into the National Theatre Production in question if they attend with the Entry Pass Ticket holder.

4. Mates Rates Tickets are only available to individuals aged between 16 and 25.

5. Entry Pass members are limited to booking one (1) Entry Pass Ticket and one (1) Mates Rates Ticket per National Theatre Production.

6. Entry Pass members are limited to booking one (1) Entry Pass per Entry Pass Event.

7. Tickets are subject to availability from an allocation of places.

8. Tickets may only be purchased from the National Theatre’s box office and website. Tickets may not be purchased from any third party agent.

9. Entry Pass Events may only be purchased from the National Theatre’s box office and website and/or the National Theatre learning department. Entry Pass Events may not be purchased from any third party agent.

10. Entry Pass aims to encourage young people to attend the theatre independently. For this reason, only Entry Pass members may purchase Tickets and Entry Pass Events. Any debit or credit card used for payment must therefore be in your name.

11. Third parties (including parents or guardians) cannot book or pay for Tickets and Entry Pass Events on behalf of an Entry Pass member. However, they can purchase a gift voucher which can then be used by you to purchase Tickets and Entry Pass Events.

12. You must collect all Tickets for National Theatre Productions in person.

13. You will be able to collect any Tickets for National Theatre Productions from the relevant performance desk or front desk from 90 minutes prior to the start time of the production. Please note that all Tickets must be collected no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the production.  We reserve the right to offer your Tickets for re-sale should you fail to collect your Tickets by this time. When you come to collect your Tickets, you (and any companion using a Mates Rates Ticket) will be required to present proof of age in the form of a passport, driving licence or Pass Card.

14. When you arrive to attend any Entry Pass Event you will be required to present proof of age in the form of a passport, driving licence or Pass Card.

15. Failure to collect your Tickets for National Theatre Productions or attend any Entry Pass Event on three or more occasions without notifying the box office at least 24 hours advance will result in your Entry Pass membership and any future bookings you may have being cancelled. If your Entry Pass membership is cancelled on this basis you will not be permitted to re-apply for membership in future.

16. If you are unable to attend an Entry Pass Event you must contact the National Theatre learning department at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event. If you contact us before this time, we will refund to you the face value of the Entry Pass Event purchased (excluding any applicable delivery charges) or supply you with a credit voucher for this amount.

17. You may only exchange or return Tickets for National Theatre Productions in accordance with the National Theatre’s terms and conditions for the purchase of tickets, learning events and the use of the National Theatre website. http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/your-visit/website-help/terms-and-conditions

18. Tickets and Entry Pass Events are non-transferable. The National Theatre reserves the right to cancel your membership along with any future Entry Pass bookings should you be found to have transferred any Tickets or Entry Pass Events. If your Entry Pass membership is cancelled on this basis you will not be permitted to re-apply for membership in future.

19. Your Entry Pass membership is non-transferable.

20. Your Entry Pass membership will expire on the last day of the calendar month in which you turn 26. We will give you the opportunity to cancel any Tickets or  Entry Pass Events you may have purchased that are due to be used after your membership has expired; otherwise they will be upgraded to full price.

21. By signing up to Entry Pass you agree to have your personal details held by the National Theatre, and used to keep you informed about associated events, workshops, and special offers which we think might be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive information about associated events, workshops and special offers, please email  entrypass@nationaltheatre.org.uk

22. If you wish to cancel your membership to the Entry Pass scheme, please email entrypass@nationaltheatre.org.uk.

23. The price of Tickets and Entry Pass Events are subject to change without notice at the National Theatre’s discretion.

24. National Theatre reserves the right to terminate the Entry Pass scheme at any time.

25. These terms and conditions must be read in conjunction with the National Theatre’s:
i. terms and conditions for the purchase of tickets, learning events and the use of the National Theatre website; and
ii. terms and conditions for the purchase of goods from the National Theatre shop;
which can be found on the National Theatre website. To the extent that these terms and conditions may conflict with either (i) or (ii), these terms and conditions are to take priority.

26. If any part of these terms and conditions is held to be unenforceable this will not affect the enforceability of the remaining provisions. 

27. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

28. Nothing contained in any Contract is intended to be enforceable pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by any third party.
