A ten-week course led by John Donnelly which will give an insight into approaches to developing your playwriting.
This course will focus on techniques, exercises and approaches to writing, with opportunities for discussion and shared group critiques.

Concession prices are reserved for senior citizens and students. Bursaries are available for this course; they are likely to cover between 10% and 25% of the total course cost and are assessed on a case by case basis.

John Donnelly’s work in theatre includes The Pass and Bone at the Royal Court; a version of The Seagull for Headlong on UK tour; Little Russians at the Tricycle and First Blast: Proliferation Season; The Knowledge at the Bush; Encourage the Others for Almeida Projects; Songs of Grace and Redemption for Liminal at Theatre503; and Burning Bird for Synergy at the Unicorn.
TV includes Henry for Channel 4’s Coming Up. He has also cowritten two episodes of Channel 4’s Utopia. John Donnelly adapted his stage play The Pass for screen and along with the lm’s director, Ben A Williams, won a BAFTA nomination for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer.
John Donnelly’s other awards include the Tom Erhardt Award, the PMA Award for Best New Writer and the NSDF Sunday Times Playwriting Award.
