Saturday 3 November, 10.15am – 5pm
Sunday 4 November, 10.15am – 5pm
John Lyons Education Studio, National Theatre Studio
This project is available to 16–21-year-olds
This free weekend project includes a ticket to see Antony & Cleopatra on Tuesday 23 October at 7pm. You must be available for both sessions and to watch the performance in order to take part.
Big stories need big approaches. In this practical weekend led by director Simon Godwin (Antony & Cleopatra, Twelfth Night) you will explore heart-wrenching narratives through movement, text, devising and performance. Using Greek Tragedy and Shakespeare’s text as your guide you will ask big questions in a playful and poetic way, and discover why plays don’t always need to have a happy ending.
How to apply:
To apply, please complete this form by Monday 8 October. We will be asking everyone to attend a practical audition workshop on Wednesday 17 October, so we can meet you, play some games and find out more about who you are. Please let us know which times you are able to attend when you apply.
We would never want the cost of a project to prevent anyone from taking part. A limited number of travel bursaries are available. If you would like to apply for one, please indicate this on the form when you apply.
