Isabel Muñoz-Newsome

Training

Isabel Muñoz-Newsome is a designer, painter, songwriter and performer. She

trained at Wimbledon School of Art, and worked with Rae Smith, Ian MacNeil, Anthony Ward and Mark Thompson. She is currently studying painting at the Royal College of Art.

Theatre

For the National Theatre: The Importance of Being Earnest, Angels in America and King Lear

In London’s West End: Hello, Dolly! at London Palladium; Gypsy at the Savoy; Sweeney Todd at the Adelphi; and Oliver! at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane

Other theatre includes: An Inspector Calls at Alexandra Palace; and The Nutcracker at Sadler’s Wells

Music

Isabel Muñoz-Newsome is a co-creator of the band Pumarosa. The band toured globally between 2015–2019, and released two albums on Fiction Records, The Witch and Devastation.

Awards

Pumarosa was nominated for Best Breakthrough Act at the 2017 Q Awards.

 

Isabel Muñoz-Newsome is currently working on a solo project.
