The Bookshop has a temporary home in our pop-up riverside bookshop, whilst we build an exciting new shop in the main building.
Bookshop on the River is easy to find − it's right on the South Bank outside the National Theatre on the riverfront. Leaving the main building, face the river with your back to the National, turn right and you'll find us.
Opening Times: Monday to Saturday 10am to 8pm (check times on public holidays) and Sunday 12 noon to 6pm when performances are taking place (please check the calendar for details).

Literary Department: Unsolicited Play Submissions
We are happy to receive and consider unsolicited scripts from the UK and Ireland. We do not accept or consider synopses or treatments, just full script submissions. Scripts should be sent in hard copy with a covering letter to Sebastian Born, Associate Director (Literary) at the NT's usual postal address with an SAE for their return, if desired. We cannot accept any submissions by email.
