Legacy Giving
For nearly half a century the National Theatre has not only produced world-class theatre on its stages, but has worked extensively behind the scenes to nurture new talent and inspire the audiences of tomorrow. Your legacy gift will not only provide a solid foundation that will allow the NT to continue and grow, but will help fund a variety of special projects that will make a direct and lasting contribution to our future.
Our imagination is limitless − our resources are not. If the National Theatre and what it represents are important to you, please consider helping us by including the National Theatre in your Will. Your generosity will help provide a lasting gift that ensures future generations will continue to enjoy the National Theatre in the same way you do yourself.
We hope that you will consider extending your support in this way.
Donate in Memory
A donation to the National Theatre is a wonderful way to remember a loved one who may have enjoyed many happy times at the theatre. Your gift will support our major redevelopment project, NT Future, which will transform and enrich the experiences of everyone who visits and works in our theatres.
We have a range of giving opportunities available that will allow you to pay tribute to your loved one and remember them in a special and lasting way.
£100
Your chosen dedicatee’s name will appear on our Supporters Mural in small size font.
£500
Your chosen dedicatee’s name will appear on our Supporters Mural in medium size font.
£1,000
We will engrave a paving stone in our outside public area in memory of your loved one and add their name to our Supporters Mural in medium size font.
£5,000
We will name a seat in the new Dorfman Theatre* in memory of your loved one and add their name to our Supporters Mural in medium size font.
Some donors have chosen to remember loved ones by naming a paving stone or seat for them, but have chosen to mark their own relationship with the National Theatre by including their own name on the Supporters Mural.
Seats and paving stones will bear the name of your loved one for at least 15 years. We will be able to include the text ‘in memory of’ on seats and paving stones and we will also acknowledge all gifts of £100 and above with a certificate containing details of your gift.

*Due to the flexible nature of the Dorfman auditorium, seats in the Pit will not always be in the same place and some seats will not always be used for every performance. When used, however, these seats will be the best in the house. You are welcome to name a fixed seat on Levels One and Two, or a flexible seat in the Pit.
