US Taxpayers may be interested in supporting the American Associates of the National Theatre (AANT)

The AANT is a New York-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports the work of the National Theatre in the United Kingdom and in the United States. Contributions to the AANT are deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The AANT's Federal tax number is 13-414-0412.

Since 2005, the AANT has granted more than $7.5 million to the National Theatre, providing essential funding to support its mission to develop world-class productions with affordable ticket prices, while reaching out to artists and audiences of the future through extensive education programs.

AANT holds events throughout the year for supporters in the US, as well as offering allocations of tickets for National Theatre Live screenings and US production transfers.

The National Theatre's diverse repertoire aims not only to represent the widest range of voices, but to appeal to the widest possible audience. Increasingly, the NT's work is reaching farther, and a truly global audience is engaging with the National Theatre. The NT's unique relationship with America and American theatre in particular continues to flourish.

Information submitted with a membership application will be shared with the offices of the AANT in New York and the NT in London to facilitate ticket bookings and the provision of membership benefits.

In April 2011, to mark the arrival of War Horse at Lincoln Center Theater in New York, AANT held its largest fundraising gala to date, raising almost $1 million. As well as supporting the core mission of the National Theatre, some of the money raised on the night was used to subsidize tickets to War Horse for nearly 700 children from fifteen disadvantaged New York City schools.
