Frances de la Tour takes the part of Dorothy in her third new play by Alan Bennett at the National following The History Boys and The Habit of Art. She is joined by Selina Cadell and Linda Bassett.

People spoil things; there are so many of them and the last thing one wants is them traipsing through one’s house. But with the park a jungle and a bath on the billiard table, what is Dorothy to do?

Her archdeacon sister wants to hand the estate to the care of the National Trust, but Dorothy favours a more creative solution.
