Entry Pass: Directing for Shakespeare

Delivered by National Theatre staff and working theatre practitioners, these practical workshops are an opportunity to build on your skills and gain a greater insight into the workings of the NT.

Open to Entry Pass members only.

Join us for this practical insight into directing Shakespeare for a modern audience. Drawing inspiration from the NT's new adaptation of Timon of Athens, Cathal Cleary, Staff Director on this production, will explore the various approaches to directing Shakespeare's text and examine how the director, actors and dramaturge approached this re-imagining of one of Shakespeare's rarely produced plays.

As part of the workshop you will see Timon of Athens.
