Brecht's timeless story, punctuated with songs and laced with dark humour, offers a bitter examination of a world where morality has no home. At its heart, is the beggar-master Peachum, who loses his daughter to the powerfully seductive swindler Macheath, known as 'Mac the Knife'. When Peachum and his wife seek Macheath's downfall, revenge is far from sweet...
