Food and Drink

There is a great choice of eating and drinking at the National Theatre. Restaurants, cafés and bars can be found throughout the building, most with al fresco seating overlooking the vibrant South Bank. Seasonal and best quality ingredients are used to create a wide range of food and drink.

  • Food and drink on Sundays

    For the first time, the Olivier and Lyttelton Theatres will regularly offer 3pm performances on Sundays.  We will also offer food and drink throughout the building:

  • Mezzanine

    Modern European menu including fixed-price post-theatre supper.

  • Terrace Bar and Food

    Have a drink, snack or meal in the Terrace which is an informal and comfortable environment above the Lyttelton foyer with the best outside tables on the South Bank.

  • Cafés and Bars

    There are a variety of cafés and bars throughout the National Theatre building, which are perfect for daytime coffee and cakes or pre-performance drinks and light meals. 

  • Mezzanine reservations

    If you are planning to eat before attending a performance at the National, we recommend that you book a table for at least 1 hour before the start-time of the show. 

  • Terrace Bar and Food reservations

    If you are planning to eat before attending a performance at the National, we recommend that you book a table for at least 1 hour before the start-time of the show.

  • The Deck

    An exciting new London event venue for hire at the National Theatre.

    The Deck is available to hire exclusively for dinners up to 90 and receptions or conferences up to 100.
