NT : Watch This Space 2007 : Denis Tricot with Alexander Balanescu

Denis Tricot with Alexander Balanescu

Denis Tricot's exquisite fire sculptures have lit up monuments and venues around Europe. Inspired by the National's striking architecture and shape, leading French fire-artist Tricot will weave his magic, accompanied by live improvised music from Romanian beatnik Alexander Balanescu (Mute Records). A collaborator with artists as diverse as Michael Nyman, David Byrne and the Pet Shop Boys, Balanescu is usually found leading the Balanescu String Quartet in work that encompasses haunting original compositions as well as Kraftwerk covers. Expect lyrical, fluid, beautiful mixtures of violin and electronica.

Denis Tricot with Alexander Balanescu finished on: 10 January 2004
