Synopsis:

Beginning in the docks of the East End of London, this title moves along the Thames westwards, following the flow of commerce from the unloading of goods at Tilbury to the crowds of shoppers on Oxford Street. Woolf admires St Paul's and Westminster; visits the spartan houses of literary men; and concludes with a wry look at the Houses of Commons.
