Synopsis:

A rubber keyring inspired by the textures of the National Theatre's ionic building. 'The form of the Theatre was essentially reliant on the characteristics of reinforced concrete, especially its strength, allowing the cantilevered terraces and the large spans and openings. Concrete takes the shape and surface it is given by the wooden formwork, which has to be chosen with thought for the texture and lines it will leave. Rough grained wood was selected on a six-inch module for most parts of the building. All details were designed to enhance the play of light on surfaces, and to respond to the major geometries and guiding ideas of the design.' – William Curtis, architectural historian
