JON BAUSOR

Jon trained on the Motley Theatre Design course after studying Music as a choral scholar at Oxford University. Jon is currently designing Silence (RSC, Filter), The Homecoming (RSC) and Lord of The Flies (Regents Park).

Theatre credits include: KURSK (Sound and Fury/Young Vic; Evening Standard Best Design nomination); No Wise Men (Peepolykus/Liverpool Playhouse; Best Design Liverpool Daily Post); James and the Giant Peach (Octagon, Bolton; Manchester Evening News Awards Best Design nomination); Sanctuary (National Theatre).

Design credits for opera include: The Knot Garden (Theatre an der Wien, Vienna); Queen of Spades (Edinburgh Festival Theatre); The Lighthouse (Teatro Poliziano, Montepulciano); The Human Comedy (Opera Group/Young Vic).
Design credits for dance include: Blood Wedding (Finnish National Ballet); Pleasure’s Progress, Ghosts, Before the Tempest (ROH); A Tale of Two Cities (Northern Ballet Theatre); Scribblings (Rambert); Firebird, HOWL (Bern Ballet, Switzerland); Snow White in Black (Phoenix Dance Theatre); Mixtures (English National Ballet).

MIRIAM BUETHER

Miriam Buether was the overall winner of The Linbury Prize for Stage Design in 1999. In 2008 she won the Hospital Club Creative Award for Theatre. Miriam trained in theatre design at Central Saint Martin’s and in costume design at the Akademie für Kostüm Design, Hamburg.

Design credits for theatre include: Earthquakes in London (National Theatre; Olivier and Evening Standard Award Nominations); Sucker Punch (Royal Court; Evening Standard Award); Judgement Day (Almeida; Evening Standard Award Nomination); In the Red and Brown Water (Young Vic; Evening Standard Award Nomination); The Wonderful World of Dissocia (Critics Award for Theatre in Scotland).

Design credits for dance include: Body of Poetry (Komische Oper Berlin); Frame of View (Didy Veldman in NY); Hartstocht (Introdans, Neatherland); Possibly Six, Tenderhooks (Canadian National Ballet); Cinderella (Goteborg Opera).

Set design credits for opera include: Anna Nicole (ROH); Turandot (ENO); The Death of Klinghoffer (Scottish National Opera), and the forthcoming Trittico/ Suor Angelica (ROH).

Theatre credits include: Afore Night Come (Young Vic; Evening Standard Award Nomination); Festen (Almeida; West End and New York, Evening Standard Award for Best Designer, Olivier Award Nomination for Best Set Design); Tristan and Isolde (Olivier Award for Best Opera Production); Machinal (London Critics Circle Theatre Award for Best Designer); An Inspector Calls (Critics Circle and Olivier Awards for best Design, Tony Nomination for Best Design); Plasticine and A Number (Evening Standard Award for Best Designer); Billy Elliot The Musical (West End, Australia, Broadway and two US tours; Olivier Award Nomination for Best Set Design, Tony Nomination for Best Set Design).

Film and Television include: Winterreise (Channel 4); Eight (Working Title). Since 1999, Ian has designed costumes, environments and sets for several Pet Shop Boys world tours.
