Connections Plays
Connections Plays
The National Theatre has commissioned more than 130 new plays for Connections, giving young people access to the best new writing for theatre.
Current Plays 2012
The National Theatre has commissioned ten plays by British and international writers -- new stories from Brazil to Russia, from the dawn of humanity to the present day, to inspire young theatre companies across the UK.
Power struggles, rites of passage, love and forbidden relationships are some of the rich themes that run through this cycle of plays. Some are deeply funny, some are provocative and some reflective; and one has really catchy songs!
