Influence and Rapport open course

Creative communcation skills training

Theatreworks draws on techniques used by actors and directors in the rehearsal room to encourage confident and creative communication by stretching the voice, the body and the imagination.

Influence & Rapport is a one-day course that explores influencing colleagues and clients in meetings where time is short and the stakes are high. The learning outcomes are:

  • Enhanced ability to be spontaneous, quick-thinking and creative when faced with the difficult or unexpected
  • Increased awareness of the dynamics between individuals
  • Skills for influencing others
  • Improved imagination and empathy when listening
  • Increased flexibility of style and the confidence to move out of comfort zones
  • Pointers for carrying the learning back to the workplace

The course runs from 9.15am to 5.30pm at the John Lyon Education Studio is followed by an optional evening buffet and performance at the theatre.

A very useful lesson about self. I would come again at the drop of a hat.
