Personal Impact open course

Theatreworks draws on techniques used by actors and directors in the rehearsal room to encourage confident and creative communication by stretching the voice, the body and the imagination. 

Personal Impact is a one-day course exploring how participants present themselves and the effect that they have on other people. The learning outcomes are:

•    Insight into what makes people interesting and engaging
•    Ability to harness personality, presence and purpose to affect a group
•    Increased confidence in communicating to an audience
•    An understanding of physical presence and non-verbal communication
•    Improved use of voice and breathing
•    Active listening skills and techniques for concentration and relaxation
•    Pointers for carrying the learning back to the workplace

The course runs from 9.15am to 5.30pm at the John Lyon Education Studio and is followed by an optional evening buffet and performance at the theatre.

£440 per course or £792 for one person booking a place on both Personal Impact and Influence & Rapport.

If you work for a registered charity, places are £264 or £396 for a place on both courses.
