From Congo with Love

12 February – 11 April

From Congo with Love

A free photography exhibition showing human resilience in the face of absolute adversity. Fashion photographer Rankin returned to the Congo with Oxfam in October 2009 and ran a series of photographic workshops, designed to enable one community to tell their own stories of love in a conflict zone. The results are like nothing that has ever been seen before: A huge family photo album – taken by people who, prior to meeting Rankin, had not even seen, let alone held a camera. As well as Rankin’s signature portraits, the exhibition will display two hundred images taken by the people he met.

This exhibition is situated in Theatre Square, outside the entrance to the National Theatre.

The National Theatre building will be open Monday - Saturday from 9.30am - 11pm and Sunday 12pm - 6pm (when there is a performance in the building).
