Online Security Services

Two free online security services are now available when purchasing tickets on the National Theatre website, 'Verified by Visa' and 'MasterCard SecureCode'.

If you have a card issued by MasterCard (including Maestro), the service is called SecureCode.
If you have a card issued by Visa, the service is called Verified by Visa.
Solo and American Express cards are not affected by these services.

Registering your card is simple

There is no charge, registration is easy and you are strongly recommended to register for these services as more and more major stores and online retailers are signing up.

How to register online

You can register on your own bank's website, or when purchasing online at other participating companies. Some banks will require you to register your card when you purchase tickets on our website.

If you have not already registered your card, you may not be required to register your card to use the NT website, depending on your card issuer. However this may change in the future if MasterCard or Visa start to require all websites to enforce registration.

Once you've registered

When you register, you set up a password with your bank or card issuing company that you can use to confirm your identity when shopping online. This is similar to using a PIN when shopping in stores or at an ATM (but please remember never to give your PIN or password to anyone). From then on, when shopping online, after you have entered your payment details you enter your password when prompted.

Already registered?

If you have already registered for one of these services, then you will need to use the same password on our site. If you have forgotten your password, please click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link when prompted to enter your password. You will then be able to re-register.
