Suchet and Wanamaker set for West End Miller play
David Suchet is set to tread the boards in a new run of All My Sons by Arthur Miller at the Apollo Theatre next year.
Suchet, best know as TV detective Hercule Poirot, will be joined on stage by Zoe Wanamaker in the drama, which runs from 19 May and has an official opening on 27 May.
All My Sons tells the story of Joe Keller (Suchet), whose alleged supply of faulty fighter planes during the Second World War may have lead to the death of his own son.
Confrontations arise when the deceased son's fiancee turns her affection to his brother, a situation that his mother, played by Wanamaker, is reluctant to accept.
Howard Davies is to direct the production for a second time following a run at the National Theatre, which earned him an Olivier award nine years ago.
Originally performed in 1947, All My Sons was also revived for the Broadway stage last year in a production featuring John Lithgow and Katie Holmes.
