The pilot season of NT Live launched on 25 June 2009. Phedre was broadcast to over 50,000 people around the world. This was followed on 1 October by All’s Well That Ends Well and the first live Saturday matinee broadcast was Nation on 30 January 2010. The Habit of Art was the fourth broadcast in the season on 22 April. London Assurance was added a fifth broadcast in the season.

Over 150,000 people have seen the NT Live broadcasts in 21 countries around the world. Internationally the NT Live broadcasts have been screened in Australia; Canada; Belgium; Czech Republic; Denmark; Estonia; Finland; Germany; Iceland; Ireland; Luxembourg; Malta; Mexico; Netherlands; New Zealand; Norway; Spain; South Africa; Sweden and US

NT Live will return with a second season in Autumn 2010. The season will feature Shakespeare’s Hamlet with Rory Kinnear in the title role and Danny Boyle’s production of Frankenstein. Find out more about the second season.
