Jane Horrocks for Annie Get Your Gun revival

A revival of Annie Get Your Gun has been announced to be held in London this year.

The musical, which was written by Irving Berlin, will be staged at the Young Vic theatre from 3 October.

Jane Horrocks will feature as the title character Annie Oakley in the show, which is set in Ohio in 1912.

She will be joined by Julian Ovenden, who has previously appeared in musicals such as Marguerite and Merrily We Roll Along.

The gun-slinging pair fight it out for a place in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show during the course of the production.

Songs such as What Comes Naturally and Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better) and There's No Business Like Show Business all feature in Annie Get Your Gun.

Richard Jones will direct the new version of the musical, which was last performed in London in 1992 at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
